Aw man, I was scrolling through ohnotheydidnt, of all places, and saw that Don S. Davis has passed away. That is so sad. I met him back in 2002 at Gatecon and saw him again last year at the Vancouver con.

Rest in peace, Don. You were a great man.

The severed feet that keep washing ashore in BC are both amusing and gross. Apparently we're up to six now. The Continuing Saga of Feet!

I caught up on the two episodes of Doctor Who that I'd missed and since then, I've been marathoning Voyager episodes. Why? Who knows. All I know is that my girlcrush on Captain Janeway is still quite intact.

So far I've watched The Q and the Grey, Waking Moments, Latent Image and Shattered (SIGH!). Coda is loading as we speak. It's a random selection of episodes but I love something about each of them.

The Q and the Grey - I'll watch it and put up with Q just to see Janeway in the pink nightgown and Chakotay admitting that Q's desire to mate bothers him. Also, the female Q is kinda hot.

Waking Moments - Janeway's line, "Either I've become impervious to antimatter explosions or we're still dreaming"

Latent Image - The last scene, Janeway in the holodeck with her book. She's tired and feverish but still unwilling to leave a friend.

Shattered - Everything. Almost.

I actually watched Bones again. I haven't done that in ages -- re-watched an episode of a show the next day, that is.

Here in Victoria, pretty much everyone yells a thank you to the drivers as they're exiting the bus. I don't know if we're just exceptionally polite or if this is a common thing because I haven't really taken the bus anywhere else except for Vernon and Vernon has a pretty lame transit system and I think I was the only one who thanked the cranky drivers.

Hello, I know why I don't normally seek out BSG on Friday night. I need to get to sleep but instead, I'm sitting here making "Wheee" noises. I really can't come up with anything more coherent. Sry.

I set a new picture of Mulder/Scully (fuck me, I love saying that. New Picture.) as my desktop and actually clapped my hands with glee.

Know what's awesome? Snow in Victoria in April.

I threw some soup in the microwave and then tried to eat it. HO'SHIT!! It was secretly spicy and I just about collapsed. My poor torn esophagus couldn't handle that. I think I'm going to be sticking with the applesauce and baby food for a while yet. Once I can stop clutching my chest, that is.

I've been Rick Roll'd more times than I can count today.

I feel so yucky and it's probably because all I've been able to down in the last 24 hours is a glass of apple juice, one bottle of drinkable yogurt and part of the applesauce that I've been working on for the last hour. With quite a lot of pain, I swallowed a few acetaminophen with codeine that my mom picked up and that managed the pain of normal swallowing enough so that I could stop spitting.

Must remind myself that it will be worth it! No more five glasses of water with meals just to get the food down. No more running into the bathroom because food is stuck. No more having to spew iced tea all over the place in the food court because something got stuck. No more cautiously eying pills, wondering if they're too big to make it down.
